This week, YCCD team members were honored to meet with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who has established himself as a national Republican leader on climate solutions.

The meeting featured some of the top young conservative leaders in the Sunshine State, including Stephanie Torres (Chair, Florida Federation of College Republicans), Yanni Psareas (Political Director, Florida Federation of College Republicans), Mark Pasquis (Chair, Miami Dade County College Republicans), Christian Zagarra (Vice-Chair, Miami Dade County College Republicans), Ian Lacin Chares (Chair, Florida International University College Republicans), and Andrew Hefley (Chair, University of Miami College Republicans).

These young Republican leaders had an exciting and productive conversation with the mayor and discussed opportunities to accelerate GOP leadership on climate change and advance market-based solutions like the Baker-Shultz Carbon Dividends Plan. Uniquely so, the Baker-Shultz approach would unleash clean energy innovation and put the American economy first.

The YCCD team was grateful for the opportunity to meet with Mayor Suarez and look forward to continuing to collaborate on this important issue. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
