YCCD at the 2022 Student Action Summit

The YCCD team was glad to be back at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida. With thousands of politically- engaged young conservatives in attendance from across the country, the event was a great opportunity to discuss why climate and energy is an important issue to the next generation.

Poll after poll confirms that climate is a priority for young Americans. However, if only one side of the political aisle controls the conversation, that is to no one’s benefit. That’s why the conservative movement can — and must — play offense on this issue.

Especially with the growing recognition of America’s carbon advantage — the reality that we already make products cleaner and more efficiently here in the United States — our country has a major strategic opportunity. If we were to finally hold big polluters like China, Russia, and India accountable for their emissions, this would not only be good for the environment, but also return jobs and economic opportunity to American shores.
